She is a very kind and down to earth girl, so she has been a child ever since. He respects and loves the whole world. She is a very discreet presence, from the kind of person you don't forget, as she is a very good and sweet-spoken girl.

Experience a different pregnancy…

She reached a step before her death but she and her child managed to do it. The doctors even called it a "little miracle". And how can it not be, when despite adversity, he managed to break every medical barrier and today, he has overcome all dangers and enjoys extreme health. Surely a premature baby becomes a "little miracle" and a life lesson for everyone!

Andri Sophocleous reports in ant1.com.cy and to Christiana Dionysiou:

"I was born on 23/08/1990 in Dasaki, Achnas. In 2008, when I finished high school, I went to Ioannina to study at the Department of Philosophical Pedagogical Psychology of Ioannina, where I received my degree. In 2010 I met my husband, Vangelis. After two years we got married and since then I have been a permanent resident of Ioannina and I work at the University General Hospital of Ioannina as an auxiliary staff.

In January 2014 I got pregnant and until the second month everything was fine. In the third month, I had a small amount of bleeding and had to stay in bed. Although the doctor confirmed that everything was going well, I was scared and cursed at the Virgin Mary. My grandmother Georgia, my father's mother, kept praying for me and kept making requests.

In the 23rd week of pregnancy…

We went down to Athens, to the hospital. I was very happy because we would learn the sex of the baby. But when the ultrasound began, the doctor became anxious and his face turned white. He asked me if I was feeling well and when I said, "Fine, why?" he called a nurse, told her to take my blood, a sample of vaginal fluid and take me to a room. The doctor at that time did not say anything to me, he only talked to my husband. He told him that liquid had come in and broken the bag and that I should be expelled because I was in danger. Vangelis lost them at that moment but did not say anything to me so as not to upset me. He simply told me, "All is well."

In the afternoon of the same day, when the results of the exam came out, I was told that I had to have an abortion because otherwise my life would be in danger. I did not know that up to 24 weeks is the limit for a legal abortion, in case the baby has a health problem and the pregnancy must be terminated. The doctors were more afraid of me. I, on the other hand, was convinced that I was not going to live. But the strangest thing was that while the infection I had was very serious, the child was not deformed.

After two days I had to repeat some of the exams and something really incredible happened…

A miracle happened…

None of the doctors could believe they were clean. There was no more infection and the baby without fluids took 300 grams. On May 17, I was informed that on Monday, May 19, they would complete the ultrasound to see if the baby was well and if not, I would have an abortion. When my husband and I were alone in the room, I told him, “Whatever happens, I want to keep it. If you don't want it, you can leave. " He, looking at me with love, replied: "Whatever you decide, I will be by your side."

The next morning…

When I was in the bathroom, I felt the baby's head coming out. I was very scared and called the doctor. I was immediately taken for an ultrasound. I will never forget his words: "Unfortunately the child has come down to the cervix and we have to go to the operating room quickly" and continued: "After the surgery one can come out but no one can."

But a second miracle happened…

After four hours, the baby was born alive and even cried. We were both alive! Our Lady had done her miracle !!!

The baby was immediately intubated and had mechanical respiratory support. Doctors knew he would not live long after he was just 24 weeks old. Meanwhile, when I was drugged in the operating room, I saw the three hierarchs in front of me and their church in my husband's village.

Nobody believed it, everyone was talking about a "little miracle". Of course, the doctors were worried about many other things Ή He was very young and did not know mentally and kinetically how he would develop. But I was so happy that I knew, I felt that it would be fine, it would live and grow normally.

Our doctors always told us that his condition was serious but stable. In fact, the neonatal brain ultrasound was clean. They did it three times and it always looked the same. All the tests they did on him were clean, but he had to stay intubated for six months in the incubator.

From time to time they tried to release him, although he was so small, he endured for 48 hours. A month later, they gradually began to give him milk with a catheter and his stomach tolerated it just fine.

At some point, however, unfortunately, he had a problem with his stomach and had to undergo surgery. We were all afraid that she would not be able to bear it, but the Virgin Mary performed her miracle again and my little boy lived. He was tortured for several months, but it was possible because he had the Virgin Mary next to him.

Two months later, a pediatric ophthalmologist saw him. He had to watch the retina. After 20 days, we were told we had to go to the Children's Hospital for a laser. Things weren't easy. The chances of him surviving were slim because of his lungs.

We experienced a third miracle…

Everything went well, his vision so far is very good. After his recovery, he was transferred to "Alexandra Hospital". Everything was going well and while we were waiting for him to come to our house soon, our baby got sick again…

One morning when I went to see him, I was told that he was in solitary confinement because he stuck a germ on his back while being transported from one hospital to another. This germ was deadly and the drug was then experimental. Without a second thought I signed to give it to him and fortunately everything went well. The germ subsided and for the first time in five months, I took it in my arms. I was the happiest mom in the world!

Little by little the day we would take it home was approaching…

On November 14, we had the greatest joy of our lives. Our baby came home with us. Of course, we stayed in Athens for another six months so that the doctors could see it every day and do physiotherapy twice a week. Then we went to the hospital every three months and that was until last year.

I am grateful for every moment that my little Notis lived, for every obstacle he overcame, for the fact that I can hold him in my arms. Things other moms take for granted. I never thought I had such power in me, but it was given to me by the Virgin Mary and Notis who fought every day for his life! I am blessed to have given birth to such a creature, so determined to live, so powerful! What more could I ask for as a mother?

The truth, everything I experienced, one step at a time before death and after the miracle, changed me as a person. I was very mature, I realized that nothing is more important than health and no material good can replace it. I saw half my pregnancy develop out of belly…

Our life today…

Little Notis is six years old and goes to kindergarten. He walks, talks, sees, controls the clamps and has cut his diaper. He has a very good cognitive perception and good communication. He is doing speech therapy and occupational therapy and his teacher told me that he is her best helper in the classroom.

In a few months we will have a second child…

"I am 6 months pregnant and Notis is waiting for his little brother. I wish you all the best this time! I thank God who saved my baby and who required me to live a second pregnancy. I thank my husband who is by my side and supports me. My two husbands are always by my side, as is Panagia. Thank you! ”
