A jump of 36,4% and a record in tourist arrivals - 192.090 visitors in March

Tourist arrivals amounted to 192.090 in March 2018 compared to 140.873 in March 2017, recording an increase of 36,4%.

Based on the results of the Travelers' Survey, the arrivals of March 2018 were the highest we had in Cyprus until today during the month of March.
At the same time, for the period January - March 2018 the tourist arrivals amounted to 369.438 compared to 285.693 in the corresponding period of 2017, recording an increase of 29,3% but also exceeding the arrivals ever recorded in Cyprus during the first three months of year.

According to the Statistical Service, arrivals from the United Kingdom increased by 24,8% in March 2018 compared to March last year, while there was a 13,7% increase from Russia.

Increases were also recorded from other important markets such as Germany (107,3%) and Israel (53,6%).

In addition, arrivals from the UK reached 123.726 in the first quarter of 2018, an increase of 24,3% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2017.

In contrast, arrivals from Russia decreased by 5,4%, reaching 45.449 in the first quarter of the year compared to 48.028 in the same period of 2017.
