The voting that is being held today for the election of a new Mayor of Famagusta resumed at one o'clock in the afternoon.
In his statements to KYPE, the Superintendent of Alternative Elections, Georgios Chrysafinis, stated that the polls opened normally at one in the afternoon after an hour-long break.
He reminded that "the turnout of voters until 12.00 at noon amounted to 15,9%, ie 5,023 people, while the registered voters amount to a total of 31,589".
He also said that the election process is going smoothly, that the polls will close at six in the afternoon and that the results are expected until eight in the evening.
