Unprecedented scenes unfolded at a kiosk in the community of Avgorou when a 13-year-old boy attacked and punched an elderly kiosk, causing multiple injuries.
The reason for the incident that happened around six in the afternoon last Sunday was the refusal of the 74-year-old to sell alcoholic beverages to the minor.
The 74-year-old man, who was left covered in blood on the floor, was taken to Famagusta General Hospital where it was found that he had suffered a fractured cheekbone, brain injuries and an eye injury.
Due to the seriousness of his health condition, his transfer to Nicosia General Hospital was considered imperative.
