The situation is deplorable, it is reported, while it is noted that the measures taken to prevent illegal dumping of garbage are insufficient. As a result, they unconsciously watch the rubbish, which burns for hours, filling the atmosphere with contaminants and other pollutants.
Through its announcement, the Ecologists Movement asks the administration and the competent departments to assume their responsibilities and to take effective measures to end the illegal operation of the landfill in the free area of Famagusta and the immediate environmental restoration of these areas.
