The Municipality of Ayia Napa is remediating the environmental intervention in the "Sand of Kampouri" area, according to a post by the Mayor, Christos Zannetos.
This announcement:
"We are soon proceeding with the restoration of the environmental intervention in the "Sand of Kampouri" area, which dates back to approximately 2012.
The contract was signed with the Director of the Sandworks Ltd Company, Mr. Panagiotis Nikiforos, for the restoration of the environmental intervention made in the "Sand of Kampouri" area.
The implementation of the project will be monitored by a competent committee which will consist of officials of the Municipality and officials of state services. The project has a cost of €189,000.00 and will be implemented in accordance with the terms and conditions of authorization set by the competent agencies.
Our undivided love for Ayia Napa does not allow us to ignore and let such "images" destroy its natural beauty and reputation!"
