A case of assault and causing serious bodily harm is being investigated by the Police, after a complaint for assault received by two men aged 28 and 25, in the early hours of yesterday in the province of Famagusta.
The complaint was submitted to the Famagusta TAE by the 28-year-old, who told the TAE investigators that, shortly after 5.00 am yesterday Sunday, while he was with a 25-year-old outside a store in the Ayia Napa area, a group of people attacked them.
The 28-year-old and the 25-year-old went to the General Hospital of Famagusta where it was found that the 28-year-old had a fracture in the chest, head injury and abrasions and bruises on the body and the 25-year-old had a fracture on the face and nose, and bruises on the body. The 28-year-old was discharged, while the 25-year-old was detained for treatment.
