Ayia Napa Primary School: Participates in Erasmus + program to promote innovation

The inaugural meeting of the "Fostering children's learning process and cognitive abilities through holistic approach and innovative methods/PRO-LEARN" project took place on October 30 and 31 in Lublin, Poland, within the framework of key action 2, KA201 of the Erasmus+ program, which promotes innovation. In addition to the Primary School of Ayia Napa – Antonis Tsokkou, the OIC Poland Foundation as a coordinating institution, GG EUROSUCCESS CONSULTING LTD from Cyprus, CM SKOULIDI & SIA EE (p-consulting) from Greece, Fondazione Paoletti participate in the project from Italy and Scoala Gimnaziala Elena Doamna from Romania.

The main objectives of the program are: reducing early school leaving by accelerating the learning process, covering the shortage of specialists in schools (psychologists, pedagogues), strengthening the participation of parents in their children's learning processes and cognitive development abilities, offering free tools for diagnosing learning difficulties and identifying the learning style of children aged 6-14, offering free educational programs and educational materials to parents and teachers to support students in developing effective learning skills.

During the opening meeting, after each organization was presented, the role of each in the project was clarified, the schedules, obligations, the way to evaluate the quality of the project, the intended goals and the expected results were set.

The Primary School of Ayia Napa proposed 5 logos that resulted from a competition, in which students of the 4th and 5th grades of the school took part. After a vote conducted among all partners, the program logo was adopted. The next meeting will take place on May 2020 and XNUMX, XNUMX, in Ayia Napa.
