For an insignificant reason, the fierce quarrel seems to have been provoked in a nightclub in Ayia Napa, in the early hours of Sunday (11/8), where the popular singer, George Mazonakis, was appearing.
According to information from the Police, the misunderstanding that led to the fierce clash of the two separate groups, which were in adjacent detentions, concerned the eyes of a woman.
One of the two detentions considered that a person from the other group "teased" a girl they knew, as a result of which the quarrel started, which ruined the night of all the guests.
According to the same information, the Police, after a number of statements received, is looking for a specific person from Nicosia.
At the same time, it continues to examine audiovisual material that has been posted in the media and on Social Media as well as the closed circuit of the nightclub.
As the same sources told us, the Police is trying to verify the details of other people involved in the case, since in the videos that it has in its possession, several persons can be seen.
It is worth noting that the owner of the nightclub made a complaint to the Police the same night for causing malicious damage to his premises.
A 27-year-old man from the province of Famagusta also lodged a complaint with the Police, claiming that he received a blow to the face without being involved in the incident.
