The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Giannis Karousos, was visited yesterday, Wednesday, by a delegation of the Citizens' Alliance, headed by the head of local government and provincial of Famagusta, Andreas Themistokleous.
During the meeting, issues related to the tourism aspirations and actions of the Municipality were discussed, as well as the efforts to attract quality tourism by creating appropriate and favorable conditions.
At the same time, the issue of creating a private University in the municipal boundaries of Ayia Napa was discussed, something that the Citizens' Alliance, according to its announcement, considers useful in order to decentralize educational centers and the overall development of non-urban areas, especially in non-tourist season.
In a statement, the Citizens' Alliance called on the State to facilitate such actions by reducing bureaucracy and to motivate non-urban areas for similar developments.
