A large fire broke out at noon in the area between Cape Greco and Agioi Saranda, mobilizing the Fire Service, as well as aerial firefighting equipment.
According to the spokesperson of the Fire Service, Andrea Ketti, around 12:00 in the afternoon, a fire broke out in acacias and wild vegetation, with the result that strong firefighting forces rushed to the spot.
Specifically, to extinguish the fire, six vehicles and 15 firefighters are operating, while the two aircraft of the Department of Forests and the two leased helicopters of the Republic are participating in the battle with the flames.
