In a statement, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Famagusta (EBEA) welcomes the appointment of the new Minister of Justice and Public Order, George Savvidis.
According to the announcement "The new Minister comes from Famagusta and after 1974 he resides and works in Limassol. He has been a combative lawyer and has been practicing law for 35 years. Mr. Savvidis has a law degree in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Pancyprian Bar Association and the Famagusta Bar Association as well as the International Bar Association.
EBE Famagusta congratulates Mr. Savvidis for his appointment and welcomes the fact that the Minister comes from the District of Famagusta, a fact that honors the city and the entire province occupied and free.
"As EVEA, we will support the new Minister in his work and we expect that through proper communication, cooperation and dialogue with all organized bodies it will be possible to solve the problems that plague both the free area of Famagusta and the whole of Cyprus.
