The Chamber of Famagusta held meetings with Mayor Sotiras and the mayors of Avgoros and Liopetriou yesterday, Wednesday, April 26, 2023. More specifically, a delegation of the Chamber of Famagusta consisting of Am. Pr. President Mr. Giorgos Mavroudis, the Vice President of Commerce Mr. Michalis Vassiliou, the Vice President of Industry Mr. Pieris Gypsiotis and the member of the Board of Directors Mr. Sotiris Panagiotou, visited in their offices the head of the Avgorou community Mr. Panagiotis Michaelas and the head of the Liopetriou community Mr. Vasos Manolis .
Subsequently, with the participation of Mr. Christos Angelidis, Vice President of Tourism of the Chamber, a meeting was held with the Mayor of Sotiras, Mr. Giorgos Takkas.
At the meetings, the Chamber's delegation was informed about the problems that exist and are faced by the two communities (green spot, agricultural issues, information on the progress of the projects on the Liopetriou River), but also the Municipality of Sotiras regarding development issues. There was also an exchange of views on joint action to resolve the issues.
