A large amount of protective masks (3.500) was offered by the District Secretariat of DISY Famagusta to Municipalities, Communities and Voluntary Organizations of the Province of Famagusta which will be available for the protection of workers and to be distributed to vulnerable groups of citizens.
The protective masks were handed over by a delegation of DISY Famagusta headed by the District Secretary Mr. Nikos Georgiou who stated that "We strengthen the measures to protect the health and safety of local government employees and the efforts made to combat it. Furthermore, the local authorities will be able to make the protective masks available to vulnerable groups of citizens. That's the least we can offer. " During the week, the effort of DISY Famagusta will continue with the offer of protective masks to the Municipality of Paralimni and the Community Council of Frenaros.
The Social Action of the District Secretariat of DISY Famagusta continued with the offer of 150 food packages which were distributed at KEPA-Agios Christoforos in Paralimni, at the Home for the Elderly in Liopetri, at the Voluntary Committee of the Municipality of Sotiras and at the Community Council who need this difficult time. The delegation of DISY Famagusta was attended by the District Secretary Nikos Georgiou, Assoc. District Secretary Christiana Zikou, Deputy Organizational Mamas Pateras, Deputy Secretary of Local Government Tassos Vardakis and NEDISY Executive Secretary Kleanthis Koutsoftas.
