The Democratic Alarm after today's session of the Executive Office of the DISY decided that as regards the Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia as proposed by Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos for ratification to the Politburo.

In today's session of the Executive Office, the evaluation of the course of the Faction towards the upcoming local elections continued. Regarding the Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia in particular, it was decided that Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos be proposed for ratification to the Politburo.
For this recommendation of the Executive Office, the following were taken into account:
1. The results of three reliable surveys showing that Mr. Nicolettos wins in all possible scenarios,
2. The intention of other political forces to support the same candidacy, and
3. The statutory provision that was implemented for the whole of Cyprus, which points out that in case of cooperation between parties, the Political Bureau of the party decides and intra-party elections are not held.
Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos accepted the recommendation of the Executive Office to run for the Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia.
The Executive Office will thoroughly analyze its proposal to the Politburo and above all it will explain why the candidacy in question has great prospects of success and can be beneficial for the citizens.
