There were 25 patients with coronavirus who are currently being treated at the General Hospital of Famagusta, which operates as a Reference Hospital.

Of the 25 patients treated at the hospital, four are in the Intensive Care Unit.

According to the Medical Director of Famagusta Hospital, Amalia Hatzigianni, a patient was discharged in the morning. As he explained, those who are discharged continue to limit themselves at home while some continue their medication.

Speaking on the Alpha Information show, Ms. Hatzigianni stated that the average length of hospital stay is ten days, while the average age of patients admitted to the reference hospital has decreased to around 50 years, according to statistics from the Ministry of Health.

He added that "the pandemic is galloping and affecting the younger generation."

At the same time, he said that today the reference hospital is being strengthened with additional medical staff.

"There was an immediate response to our calls, today we are supported by nursing and medical staff, so ready for any eventuality."

As a clinic Covid-19 The Pathology Department of the Famagusta General Hospital is also included, which has an additional 24 beds.
