A total of 48 complaints from drivers and pedestrians were made by the Police, all over Cyprus, in the last 12 hours, as part of their controls for the implementation of the Government decree in relation to the prohibition of unnecessary travel.

A spokesman for the Police Press Office told KYPE that the complaints were the result of 4.212 driver and pedestrian checks carried out by the Police throughout Cyprus from 6.00 in the afternoon of April 13 until 6.00 this morning. There were also 768 inspections of premises, without complaint.

Regarding driver and pedestrian inspections by province, in Nicosia 1.260 and 14 complaints were made, in Limassol 762 inspections and 9 complaints were made, in Larnaca 433 inspections and 7 complaints were made, in Paphos 761 inspections and 16 complaints were made, in Famagusta 234 inspections and 1 complaint were made and in Morfou 176 inspections were carried out without any complaints.

In addition, 242 inspections were carried out by the Traffic Headquarters, which made 1 complaint. There were also 51 checks by MMAD, without complaint.

Regarding the 768 inspections of premises, by province, during which there was no complaint, in Nicosia 217 inspections were carried out on premises, in Limassol 35 inspections were carried out, in Larnaca 124, in Paphos 205 inspections, in Famagusta 85 inspections and in Morphou 102 checks were performed.
