The Community Council of Frenaros and the Community of Frenaros commemorated yesterday, Sunday, the brave young men who fell during the Turkish invasion of 1974, Nikos Ttofis of Kostis and Maria from Frenaros, Dimitris Vrakas of Artemis and Eleni from Pigi Famagusta, Louka Tsolakki son of Georgios and Adriana from Frenaros, Theodoros Tsomallouris son of Michalis and Chrystallene from Frenaros, Yasoumis Kile son of Georgios and Christina from Frenaros and Kyriakou Kamilaris son of Giannis and Maria from Trikomo.
In the Holy Church of Archangel Michael of the community, the Annual National Memorial of the heroes was held, while the memorial speech was delivered by AKEL MEP Mr. Giorgos Georgiou.
After the Memorial, Archimandrite Epifanios Papantoniou followed a trisago at the monument of the heroes, laying of wreaths and dedication to the fallen by the students of the Frenaros Primary School under the supervision of the teachers Mrs. Maria Toumba, Ms. Katerina Yasoumi and Ms. Maria Pizzoli. The children were accompanied by the teachers, Mrs. Niki Andreou and Mr. Stelios Stylianou.
Finally, we thank the staff of K.S. Frenarou, Ms. Theodora Kyriakou who undertook the presentation of the entire program as well as Ms. Marianna Siopacha for helping with registration and depositing wreaths.
