The intervention of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Costas Kadis, for his inclusion in the recycling program of Green Dot Cyprus, is requested by the Frenaros Community Council, after the continuing negative response of the company.

As the President of the Community Council of Frenaros, Michalis Hatzigiorkas, stated in KYPE, "last week, a letter was sent to the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Costas Kadis, requesting his intervention, for the self-evident inclusion of the Community in the non-withdrawal program. Green Dot Cyprus non-profit organization ".

He added that "despite the three letters sent by the Community Council since September 2018, all the corresponding responses of Green Dot Cyprus were negative, without a clear answer why Frenaros can not be included in this program, at a time when neighboring municipalities such as Deryneia and Sotira are already included ".

According to Mr. Hatzigiorkas "reading the vision, mission and values of Green Dot Cyprus where they refer to the environment, the future, achieving the goals of recovery and recycling, cultivating the right values and habits and more, we believed that its integration "Frenarus would be made from the first letter we sent to the company, without being forced to ask for the intervention of the Minister".

However, he noted that "the continuing refusal to include the Community in the recycling program raises reasonable questions as to whether Green Dot Cyprus really stands for the vision, the mission and the values to be served."

Mr. Hatzigiorkas also stated that "in the letter of the Community Council of Frenaros to the Minister of Agriculture, his intervention to Green Dot Cyprus is requested, knowing his own sensitivities regarding the environment and sustainable development, with the aim of the integration of the Community in recycling program. Frenaros hopes for the immediate actions of the Minister for a positive outcome of his request and we thank him for his interest and support in the justified request of the Community ".
