The members of the Cyprus Fire Service have been mobilizing since yesterday afternoon after the intense weather conditions.
Rains and thunderstorms hit many areas throughout Cyprus while many problems were created in the areas of free Famagusta, Xylofagos and Frenaros.
Specifically, the Famagusta Fire Station and the Xylofagos Agricultural Fire Station after 18.09 yesterday responded in a total of 8 cases for pumping water due to rainfall in areas of the villages of Frenaros and Xylofagos.
The pumps concerned flooded premises and basements.
