The need to create a regional summer school in one of the communities of the province of Famagusta, Achna Forest, Frenaros, Avgorou or Liopetri was pointed out in a letter to the Minister of Education and Culture by Famagusta MP Dr. Kyriakos Hatzigiannis. According to him, he received messages of dissatisfaction for the absence of such a school both from residents of these communities and from residents of the adjacent communities of Ormidia and Xylotympos that belong to the province of Larnaca.
In his same letter, Dr. Hatzigiannis proposes that a regional summer school be established and operate in one of the communities of the province of Famagusta, in order to serve both the other communities of the province and those of Larnaca.
He concludes that the institution of the summer school is from auxiliary to necessary, so it should be continued and strengthened, as the continuation of education and activity of students during the month of July is really beneficial for both students and their parents.
