The memorial service of the heroic martyr of the national liberation struggle of EOKA 1955-'59 Modestos Pantelis was held today in Liopetri.
In the morning, a solemn doxology was performed at the Church of Panagia Eleousa, headed by Archimandrite Augustinos Kkaras.
This was followed by a parade and the laying of wreaths at the monument of the hero in the center of the Community.
The Government was represented by the Minister of Health, Konstantinos Ioannou.
