"The Great Drowning": Watch the trailer of the documentary about the tragic event on the Liopetri River (VIDEO)

The official trailer of the Documentary "The Great Drowning" of 1919 on the Liopetri River

The documentary will take us a hundred years back in time, to experience everything that took place that Monday of the Flood, when at one point, 25 women and children were lost in the waters of the River drowning in tears, grief and mourning three whole communities of Kokkinohoria, Xylofagos, Liopetri and Avgorou.

The documentary, a production of the “Xylophagus Cultural Laboratory, will last about 70 minutes and will start airing locally from next November 1st.

More details on dates and venues will be announced in the coming months.
