"It is one of the largest infrastructure projects related to the fishing sector in Cyprus and has been a constant request of professional fishermen in the area for many years," said Mr. Kadis during the announcement of the tenders for the project. The project is coordinated by the Department of Urban Planning and Housing and is expected to be completed in 30 months. Its cost is € 8,5 million and will be co-financed by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund 2014-2020 (75% from European resources and 25% from nationals), effectively contributing to the sustainable development of fisheries in the wider region.
