Maria Tofini Tsantila announced her candidacy for the Presidency of the Famagusta District Council in the upcoming elections for the Local Self-Government next June.
The announcement of her resignation is the same:
"Dear friends, dear friends,
I would like to inform you of my intention to become a candidate for the position of President of the Provincial Self-Governing Organization of the Famagusta region in the elections of June 9, 2024.
I possess a high sense of responsibility, believing at the same time that I have the experience, skills and energy to lead an Organization that will promote the development and upgrading of the infrastructure and services of Famagusta District, with the aim of improving economic activity and the daily life of citizens and visitors.
My candidacy is based on a vision and a program (to be announced soon) that has the citizens of our province at its core. For example, effectively serving the needs of citizens and many more that will be implemented with inexhaustible energy, innovative approach, hard work and my commitment to constructive cooperation.
Our aim is to make our Province even better, both economically and socially, offering a prosperous present and a hopeful future with perspective and prosperity for the new generation
