You can find more options for a two-day stay in Paphos than in free Famagusta. Accommodation availability is higher in the town of Kinyras than in Protaras. To book two nights in Protaras you will need to put your hand deep in your pocket, as the accommodation that has rooms available was minimal. After all, the rule of supply and demand works. In Paphos you can find an apartment with € 90 for two nights, while in Protaras the prices that "play" want the accommodation to cost over € 200. In Protaras it is difficult to find rooms under € 100 per night, while Ayia Napa and Paphos have more options.
"Phileleftheros" did a search on a popular room booking website the day before yesterday. Searching for a room in Protaras for this weekend (July 6-7), one finds that in Protaras 98% of the accommodation is full and only 16 premises have rooms available. In Paphos the occupancy rate reached 89% with 84 accommodations available. There are 39 accommodations available in Ayia Napa, with occupancy reaching 93%.
Protaras - Ayia Napa
It is natural that as the fullness touches the red, the available rooms will sting at the prices. For a family with two adults and two children for two nights, there are options for accommodation with prices over € 200 up to € 1152 (in a five star hotel). For example, the popular website gives you three options for accommodation with prices between € 220- € 270, while in four-star prices go up to € 375, € 565 and € 640.
It is also noted that prices include breakfast (usually), while if they include all meals (all inclusive) the cost goes up. In Ayia Napa a family finds slightly lower prices. The search of "F" identified accommodations that cost from € 180 for two nights. Prices go up to € 474, depending on the location of the accommodation, while at € 640 finds a family hotel offering all inclusive.
Paphos
In Paphos you can find cheaper options for this weekend than in Protaras and Ayia Napa. The research of "F" identified accommodation with prices from € 50 per night, while a large share of the apartments have prices from € 50 - € 100 per night. For example, the website gives you € 90 accommodation for two nights in an aparthotel in Paphos and € 174 in Geroskipou. In a four-star accommodation, prices go up to € 450. Also, for stronger wallets, one can find a 4 star in Geroskipou € 700 (all inclusive) and € 1567 5 star with breakfast.
Capacity
The Famagusta Free Zone has the most beds on a nationwide basis and the largest percentage in terms of hotel apartments. According to CTO data, the province of Famagusta is in first place with 35.496 beds, followed by Paphos with 29.065 beds. However, while Famagusta has more beds, Paphos has more tourist accommodation. Specifically, Paphos has 268 tourist accommodation, while Famagusta has 229 units.
