Fotiadis, Neophytou and Parson won titles in the Famagusta Tennis Cup TEU14

The Famagusta Tennis Cup TEU11 international championship, organized by the Famagusta Tennis Club, under the auspices of the European Tennis Federation, ended on Saturday, November 14th. The championship was Grade 3 category. 106 tennis players (59 boys, 47 girls) from 21 countries took part in the championship.

According to a press release of the Cyprus Tennis Federation, in the boys 'category, Fotos Fotiadis impressed for another event by winning the title in the Boys' Monastery. Fotiadis prevailed in the final of Artur Kuksian from Russia, 2-0 (6-1, 6-2), while Xenophontas Neophytou and Pavlos Parson won the title in the final of the Double.

The Cypriot tennis player won the title scoring five clear victories, without losing a set. With his latest successes, Fotos Fotiadis rose to 42nd place in the European rankings in the U14 category with 370 points. Best Cypriot in this category is Konstantinos Kosis (28th, 400 points). These are two tennis players who have all the prospects to reach high in the international arena, according to the Federation.

The Federation further notes the success of Xenophon Neophytos and Pavlos Parsos who won the title in the Double final, scoring three consecutive victories over opponents from Russia, Germany and Austria. The final was not held after the walkover of the Hungarians Delhi and Pal.

The accusations of girls turned into a Russian affair. The winner in the Single is Xenia Zaiceva, who also won the title in the Double with her partner Jaroslava Bartasevic.
