Rafael Nadal announced that he is positive for the coronavirus and depending on the course of his health, he will decide what he will do in the first tournaments of the season.

Rafael Nadal is positive for the coronavirus, as he made known in a post on the social media he maintains. The Spaniard states that he tested positive for PCR when he returned to Spain.

Nadal was previously in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi where he even played in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship. There he underwent a test every two days which all came out negative.

Now Rafa will consider his participation in the first tournaments of the season and depending on the course of his health he will decide what to do. So far he had announced his participation in the Melbourne tournament which will start on January 3, however after this development it is unknown if he will play in the end.
