In her statements, the President of the shopkeepers of Paralimni, Koula Goumenou, stated that "today we are giving optimistic messages on the occasion of the opening of our businesses. He added that "the stores will comply with all the measures announced by the Ministry of Health and consumers will be confident that they will do their shopping in a safe environment. The shops are the lungs in one place, today we are reopening and we will succeed since the battles are lost only by those who do not fight ".
The Mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis, also supported the event of the shopkeepers, who expressed satisfaction because, as he explained, It will be done with the life of all of us by fighting the coronavirus pandemic ".
At the same time, she expressed the belief that "with the vaccinations against her Covid-19, we have begun the return to everyday life. "Things are still difficult, but we have all realized that we have no choice but to continue and we have begun to see the positive side of the situation that has been created."
The Mayor of Paralimni also stated that "we leave behind all the negatives, we see that we are improving in the future and now we are making plans for the opening of other companies in order for the people to be safe regarding the coronavirus issue. I appeal to the people to support the effort of the shopkeepers, to go out and do their shopping, since there are big discounts ".
Addressing the shopkeepers, Mr. Pyrillis called on them to "observe the measures issued by the Ministry of Health, if they need to work by appointment so as not to bother the people who will give life to the retail businesses. "It does not mean a normal life without live businesses that we have to keep alive in order to have jobs and return to our normal rhythms and normalcy."
