Xenion High School proved once again that our young people and sensibilities have a great soul. Proof, the charity event organized at the school, where students cut their hair for a good cause and raised an amount that exceeded one thousand euros and will then be donated to a good cause.
Specifically, on Thursday, October 25, the Central Student Council of Xenion High School organized an original, charitable event entitled "Hair Styling Charity Event".
Professional hairdressers in our province offered their services on a non-profit basis, cutting schoolchildren.
Also, students from the first to the seventh grade, together with two professional hairdressers, combed the schoolgirls with braids.
At the same time, members of the Central Student Council were selling lemonades in the school yard.
The amount collected through these actions is € 1120. It is worth noting that, for the same purpose, the students of Xenion Junior School offered the amount of € 280, which were raised during the event "Pink Day", "Pink Day - we are aware of breast cancer". The Student Council of Xenion High School decided that the € 120 be given to the provincial committee of the Cyprus Cancer Association, in the context of the charity fashion show that was organized on Sunday 28/10/18. The € 1280 were given to the Holy Diocese of Constantia - Famagusta to be handed over to the family of a small child from Paralimni, who suffers from leukemia.
Xenion Education through its announcement thanked the hairdressers Adamos Zartilas, Andrea Kaxisii, Dimitris Tzierkenzi, George Zakhaio, Damianos Kappelidis, Andrea Kyriakou, Niki Petrou and Violetta Papadopoulou for their voluntary voluntary participation.
