The operation of lifeguards in the District of Famagusta for a 69-year-old woman has evolved as a savior.
According to a post by the Municipality of Paralimni, yesterday afternoon, at Vrisi beach in front of the hotel "Iliada", 69-year-old Englishwoman who was vacationing with her husband on the beach suffered a heart attack.
The lifeguards, who were on duty at the beach, immediately intervened by giving her first aid, successfully applying complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
An ambulance was called to the scene and transported her to the Famagusta Hospital for treatment.
The 69-year-old overcame the danger.
In the post, the Municipality of Paralimni notes that “altruism and selfless care for the others that our lifeguards display every day, allows them to always meet the safety requirements of bathers, residents and visitors to our beaches. They are always on standby to avoid and deal with dangerous incidents with small patrols along its entire length as well as from the special towers. "
