The Children's Festival is one of the main activities of the Committee for the Protection and Welfare of the Child. It has now become an institution since it started in 1979 and continues to this day where 30 years of supply are completed.
The Children's Festivals will be held on a Pancyprian basis by the EPEPs of each province on the weekend of June 1-2. In Famagusta, the Festival will be held today 1th June (World Children's Day), in Lefkolla Square, in Protaras from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
In the District of Famagusta, the Children's Festival is organized by volunteers of the Famagusta Ltd. in collaboration with the Municipality of Paralimni but also with other organizations, ensembles, organizations and volunteer groups from various communities of the District.
The purpose of the EPEP festivals is to inform the Children's Rights of both children and adults, but also to promote and implement the right of children to entertainment and fun. And because all children have the right to enjoy this right, admission to the festival is free for all and participation in the activities is free.
This year, EPEP celebrates 30 years of offering to the institution of Children's Festivals and for this reason both the program of activities and the artistic program, will have a festive character and will hide many surprises for our little friends.
