PASYXE Famagusta: Warns of public order and security

The Pancyprian Hoteliers Association (PASYXE) of Famagusta addresses a call to the state to protect and improve the conditions for further development of the tourist experience and the level of service provision in the province.

A written announcement of the Association states that "the vast majority of visitors to the tourist areas, live excellent holiday experiences and despite significant room for improvement, experience Cypriot hospitality in safe conditions. "In general, the majority of employees and businessmen should also be happy, despite the occasional fluctuations in tourist traffic."

PASYXE Famagusta expresses the view that "it is a timeless necessity for the obligation of the state and its organs to lay the foundations for an effective solution of public order phenomena and for this purpose effective legislation, prevention and supervision is needed. The state must intervene in a systematic and adequate way to regulate the "I act responsibly", with legislation regulating any outstanding issues concerning business practices of marketing, sound, or controversial business practices ".

In its announcement, the Association also calls on the state and society to intervene in a systematic and adequate way in the regulation of "I take vacations responsibly", without individual entertainment putting public order and calm, but also the good reputation of the country in question. "Targeted actions of continuous information, enlightenment and on-site surveillance are required for prevention, as well as suppression of negative phenomena".

At the same time, it calls on the state "to intensify its efforts to effectively resolve public order issues in tourist areas, where the presence of thousands of visitors from different communities defines a different approach and prevention - repression measures. The state is also called upon to protect and improve the conditions for further development of the tourist experience and the level of service provision in our province ".

The announcement also notes that the tourism industry in the free province of Famagusta "already unquestionably meets the expectations of millions of visitors and continues to be the flagship of Cypriot tourism."
