Around one o'clock this afternoon, members of the Police stopped a saloon car and a Buggy vehicle following it on a road in Ayia Napa.

According to the police, after an inspection, the first vehicle was driven by a 49-year-old man, with his 33-year-old wife as co-driver. The second vehicle, however, was driven by the son of the couple in question, aged only 12 years.

The above persons, as well as the buggy type vehicle, were taken to a Police Station, where the 49-year-old was charged in writing, to appear tomorrow, before the District Court of Famagusta.

A few hours earlier, at 8 in the morning, members of the MMAD Poaching Squad, while they were on a motorized patrol in an area of ​​Nicosia province, saw a young person in his possession with a shotgun. The police approached him and after a relevant investigation, they found that he was a 13-year-old resident of Nicosia, who in his possession, in addition to the shotgun, also had 27 full cartridges. At a distance of about 100 meters, was the father of the 13-year-old, who is the registered owner of the weapon.

A father and son were taken to a police station, where the father was charged in writing, only to be summoned later. Both the shotgun and the 27 rounds were confiscated as evidence.
