The Pafos Police arrested a 19-year-old woman to facilitate investigations in relation to an investigated case of interference in a police investigation.

According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos Operations, Michalis Nikolaou, in the context of the investigation into a theft case at a hotel in Paphos, for which a 30-year-old employee was arrested last Friday and is in custody for four days, on Monday he was reported by one of the hotel managers that on April 19, a 19-year-old woman, who is friendly with the suspect, called him and tried to influence him to testify in favor of the 30-year-old. Based on this, Mr. Nikolaou told KYPE, an arrest warrant was issued against her for interfering with a police investigation, he was arrested Monday afternoon and is in custody.

The arrest of the 30-year-old was preceded by the investigation of information related to burglaries and thefts at the hotel. In a search of the shoulder bag in his possession, three electronic cards for entering hotel rooms were found, while in a search of his house another four electronic cards for entering hotel rooms were found, a safe in which a number of gold coins were found, as well as a small amount cannabis.

Both the safe and the entry cards were recognized as property of the hotel by its Manager.

YKAN (Klimakio Paphos) and TAE Paphos continue the exams.
