On Thursday, the Cypriot Hellenism tried for another year to condemn the proclamation of the pseudo-state. It was November 15, 1983 when the gray wolf, "brother" to some, Dektas made his first checkmate against our political leadership. Since then, a lot of water entered the ditch. The abortion has begun to claim rights, the "brothers" are shouting for isolation, Europe is whistling indifferently, the UN is mocking us (leniently) and our political leaders are driving their luxury cars to and from the old British government.
We who are in this situation? Unfortunately, it is found today that young Greek girls are completely indifferent to everything. Oblivion covered our little Cyprus. Happiness, American money, well-being, clouded the mind and erased crimes. Our politicians also help in this. These "nice" people who care about the commons. They are doing their job so well that we are tired of the continuous political victories against the Turks. Inside, they are doing even better. Conviction rates for criminals are dwindling. Those who continue to fight are recognized as "extremists" and finally, because there is money to throw away, they spend the taxpayer's money on "re-approaching" events.
As good self-respecting politicians, inspired by the demands of the current economic crisis (?), They decided to put us in the game. The tragic irony is that the "fair" government of the "left" brought us to this quagmire. Along with the renewals and innovations in education, they managed to elevate our national wisdom, which is in its infancy and we were overwhelmed by defeatism. Our spiritual alteration does not allow us to deal with the national. Their economic crisis has disoriented the people, who are looking for invisible enemies.
But the enemy is within the walls. They are the Greek-speaking agents of Turkish interests and our "brothers" (not to be forgotten). An unholy alliance that manipulates, silently, stigmatizes. For the vague culture of just government and servile "right" the economy is a major issue. But they forgot that they are the ones who steal the money of the ordinary citizen, in order to insult their party youth. The same ones who had the electricity contracts with the Turks ready.
But what do we do? Will we become their mouthpieces? The red cloth waving in our enslaved lands does not allow us to. Our national conscience (what is left) does not allow us to do so.
MUST be made anti-occupation.
It is NECESSARY to close the roadblocks.
It is NECESSARY to stop the talks with the puppets of the Turks. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WAKE UP.
Let us become the leaven of LIBERATION. This is all we will demand from the Turk.
