Police arrested 17 people yesterday, who had occupied the offices of the Anorthosis football team, at the "Antonis Papadopoulos" stadium in Larnaca.
According to the Police, yesterday at noon, dozens of organized Anorthosis fans stormed the offices of Anorthosis, demanding the resignation of the Board of Directors, the salaried staff, the cancellation of the General Assembly of February 20 and the announcement of a new General Assembly.
The 17 fans also opposed the possibility of setting up a company, which will take over the management of the football department of the Association.
The protesters, after evicting the employees, were then locked in the offices of Anorthosis and refused to leave.
Strong police forces rushed to the scene, which opened the door and restored order. The 17 young men were charged in writing with illegal entry and were released.
