A modern presentation of Shakespeare's masterpiece "Romeo and Juliet" is hosted at the Municipal Theater of the Savior tonight, Friday, October 11, as part of the CYPRUS 2013 International Festival.
Two young actors directed by Costas Gakis take on all the roles of the play in a crazy musical game of parenthesis and transformations. A puzzle of acting, a theatrical puzzle of various theatrical genres and styles, a struggle to give the whole essence of Shakespeare's work. Armed with their innocence and high physical energy, the two young performers are thrown into the arena of the stage to discover from the beginning the deepest, the most irrational, the most extreme, the most mortal, the most poetically ridiculous love of all time.
