A 22-year-old man from Egypt is expected to be brought before a court tomorrow as part of the police investigation into a case of attempted rape of a 23-year-old girl in Paralimni, last Saturday.
According to the complainant, while she was parking her vehicle outside her relatives' house, an unknown man pushed her and trapped her in her car, trying to have sex with her.

She strongly resisted, with the result that the perpetrator fled.
The 23-year-old was transported by a friendly person to the Famagusta Hospital where she was kept for treatment as she suffered various injuries, mainly to the face.
Based on the description of the complainant, but also from the testimony that was obtained, the Police proceeded today to arrest the 22-year-old.
