The Committee of Culture of the Municipality of Sotira organizes for the 5th consecutive year the 5th Traditional Festival of the Municipality of Sotira, a festival that aims to highlight and promote our cultural heritage.
The three-day 5th Traditional Festival will take place on July 4, 5 and 6, 2016 in different locations of Sotira and will feature various events, such as lectures, traditional dance festivals, traditional music night, exhibition of traditional professions, Cypriot traditional dishes and more.
The Festival is under the auspices of the Secretary of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Theodossi Tsiola.
All events start at 8 p.m.
Admission is free.

Proceeds from the events will be donated to the funds of the Church of the Savior, the Catholic Congregations of the Savior and the Organized Ensembles of the Savior.

Lecture: "Kartzilamas in Cypriot Dance"
Speaker: Scholar, Author, Dr. Andreas Papandreou.
It will be preceded by the opening of a painting exhibition by the Children's Painting and Handicraft Group of the Municipality of Sotira with the theme "Museums of Cyprus".
The opening of the exhibition will be performed by the Mayor Sotira Mr. Georgios Takkas and the First Elder George Ioannou.
TUESDAY, JULY 5, 8 p.m. COURTYARD OF THE HOLY TEMPLE OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE SAVIOR
Traditional Night with the musical group of Michalis Hatzimichael. Vasiliki Hatziadamou is participating.
Exhibition of Traditional Crafts, tsiattista, traditional delicacies.
