The 5th Pancyprian Avgorou Potato Festival was completed with great success last night at the XNUMXst Primary School of Avgorou.
Nearly three thousand visitors tried the traditional and alternative recipes with potatoes while they visited the exhibition of agricultural machinery and plant protection products which was inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Nikos Kougialis.
Within the framework of the Pancyprian Potato Festival, alternative uses of potatoes were presented, which the visitor of the Festival could try. With the help of experts, soap and potato face cream were prepared, as well as sweets, some of which are potato jam, and lava potato cake.
The organizer of the Festival was the Organizing Committee of the Potato Festival in collaboration with the Community Council of Avgoros.

A live link with Radio Proto with the radio producers Andrea Dimitropoulos and Georgia Anastasiou was held at the Festival.
The music program enriched the traditional group "Pilgrims" and the dance group of THOI Avgoros.
The Festival was held under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture Nikos Kougialis.
In his greeting, the Minister of Agriculture referred to the problems faced by the agricultural sector, assuring that the Anastasiadis Government will continue to pursue a pro-agricultural policy.
