Authorities in the Georgian city of Batumi have been on alert since Friday morning (8/10) after a five-storey building collapsed.
Rescue crews are on the scene and fighting over time to free children and adults from the wreckage. The number of injured, according to the international media, remains unknown.
The Russian news agency RIA reported that at least three people have been rescued so far, including a child.
Videos are making the rounds of the internet and the images are really shocking
The men try with all the means at their disposal to pick up the wreckage and save the little boy. After a lot of effort they succeed. They release him and make room for him to be given first aid.
The pictures also show some cars that have been destroyed by debris.
So far, the causes of the collapse of the apartment building have not been known.
