The Euroagricultural Association of Cyprus is organizing a day of presentation of the results of the pilot project "Potato farmers' network for the utilization of smart farming systems" which is financed by the Development Company of Larnaca & Famagusta, Measure 19 - LEADER "Cooperation Actions" of the Rural Development Program 2014-2020.

The conference will present the results of experimental applications with smart agriculture systems for the management of irrigation and crop protection in potato cultivation. Experimental applications have been made both by researchers in controlled production conditions and in potato crops in which producers participated following their usual cultivation practices.

Smart Agriculture combines modern technologies, sensors and data to optimize existing agricultural operations, reducing risk while increasing the quality and yield of agricultural products. In addition, it gives new and innovative possibilities to farmers such as monitoring data about their field in real time for immediate and effective decision making.

The conference will be held on Monday 26 February 2024, 5:30 – 7.30:XNUMX p.m. at the Social Welfare Center of the Municipality of Sotiras (opposite Sotiras Town Hall) and is open to the public.
