The suspension of sales in China iPhone 4s decided the Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, a few hours after the first release of the device in the country. According to an announcement, the company suspended sales to ensure "the safety of its customers and employees", following incidents between police and consumers outside some stores…"Demand has been incredible and our stores in China have been depleted," the statement added.
"Unfortunately we were not able to open our store in Sunlitun because of the large crowd," said Apple.
The decision not to open the store infuriated the hundreds of citizens who had gathered outside. In fact, there were clashes with police.
However, Apple points out in its announcement that the iPhone is still available online, either through its online store or through other authorized stores.
