The Audi Q5 with sales of over 510.000 cars in the global market, is the most successful SUV in the history of the Premium category and the 2nd generation, whose sales begin in the Greek market in February, is expected to continue this success.

Many innovations (most of which come from the Q7) of the new Q5 include the new ultra-technology quattro transmission, high-performance engines, damping air suspension and a full range of multimedia and driver assistance systems. .

Audi's new SUV stands out for its sporty design.

The relief of the "Singleframe" grille with the solid frame are the dominant elements in the front aerodynamic part. The luminaires are LED technology or high resolution Matrix LED with dynamic configuration and redirection of their light beam, depending on the direction of the car.

Great attention was also paid to the field of aerodynamics. The 4-cylinder versions achieve a Cd factor of 0,30, thanks to the specially designed aerodynamic roof. Aerodynamic noises are low, as are vibrations, which ensure passenger comfort.

The handling of the Q5 is intuitive and features three new features, such as the optional Audi virtual cockpit with stunning digital displays on the 12,3-inch high-resolution screen. There is also an optional head-up display that displays various data on the windshield so that the driver does not look away from the road.

The new Q5 -like the Q7-, has a "navigation personal help" function that has the ability to learn. By activating this function, the navigation system "learns" the routes and destinations that are often selected and connects the specific information with both the parking point and the time of day.

The range of high-tech assistance systems is also wide. Through their intelligent interaction, these systems represent another step towards autonomous driving.

The new SUV is launched in Greece with three engines, two TDI and one TFSI. Their output has increased up to 27 hp, while at the same time their consumption has decreased significantly. The 150 hp and 190 hp versions of the 2.0 TDI are particularly economical.

These two engines combine great power with fuel economy. The 2.0 TFSI that has been further developed produces 252 horsepower, consumes just 6,8 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers and emits only 154 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

The transmission of the mid-size SUV has evolved from the ground up, something that also applies to the 6-speed manual transmission, the 7-speed S-Tronic and the 8-speed Tiptronic. The automatic transmissions incorporate, for the sake of reducing fuel consumption, a function of free movement of the wheels and the driver controls them either through the selector or through the paddles on the steering wheel.

The quattro all-wheel drive with ultra technology always disengages the transmission quickly on the rear axle when it is not needed, while when its engagement is required, it works quickly, anticipating the need for additional traction. This new transmission offers even lower fuel consumption, while increasing traction levels and dynamic characteristics.

The new Q5 has a dynamic behavior that manages to combine different features: it is sporty while at the same time it is comfortable. The basis for the above is the new suspension of five links as well as the new electromechanical assistance of the steering system.

Customers have at their disposal two options of springs and shock absorbers in combination with the option of pneumatic suspension. Suspension control with shock absorber control offers a wide range of settings between comfort and dynamic behavior, with the driver selecting them via the Audi drive select. In addition, by controlling the damping of the shock absorbers, the new, active air suspension has the ability to change the distance from the ground of the car in five stages.

In the Audi Q5 3.0 TDI these two systems and the sports differential are combined in a new central suspension control unit. In the standard system, the Audi drive select, which has access to various units, the driver can choose between a total of 7 drivers. The two new lift / offroad and allroad programs also emphasize the off road character of the Audi Q5.

The price of the model starts from 50.500 euros.
