The key of the city was handed over to the Chinese investors of the luxurious five-star hotel of Sotira on Thursday, December 15 at the Sotiras City Hall, by the Mayor Georgios Takkas.
During the award ceremony, the Mayor thanked the Chinese investors for the investment of 50 million euros of the luxurious five-star resort hotel, which, as he said, radically changes the map of the coastal area of Agia Thekla and Sotira in general. During the simple event he reiterated once again that the conditions he has set for investors are the recruitment of staff by Sotira, the protection and full management of the beach front and the restaurant by the Municipality of Sotiras but also the cooperation with the Municipality.
The two multi-millionaire Chinese investors, Tommy Chen and Vicki Zheng, thanked Mayor Sotiras for the honor of handing over the key to the city to them and said that they are now connected to Sotira, ready to contribute to the community with more investment and general contribution.
In the discussion that followed, the Mayor submitted the proposal for investment in the processing and import industry of colocasia, an idea which, as they mentioned, they will discuss in more detail during their next visit to Sotira, at the end of December.
