The Xylofagou Police Station is investigating a case of illegal possession and use of prohibited means of trapping wild birds.
According to a police statement, members of the MMAD Illegal Fighting Battalion located eleven wild bird traps and a device for reproducing mimic voices of wild birds, which was in operation, this morning at a substation in the province of Famagusta.
A Flumber-type weapon belonging to a 52-year-old man from the province of Famagusta was also found. All the findings were taken as evidence.
