An Open Competition of the official logo of the 5th Pancyprian Potato Festival of Avgoros is organized by the Organizing Committee of the Potato Festival.

The Festival will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the yard of the First Elementary School of Avgoros and in it visitors will have the opportunity to try the local product of the province but also to have fun in a traditional artistic program.

COMPETITION DETAILS:

1. RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE
The Competition is open to all those who wish to participate: Graphic Designers, Advertising Agencies, Graphic Arts / Science Students but also for non-specialists.

3. LOGO FORMAT AND USE
The Logo must:
• Be original and unique, as defined in the Copyright Act 1976, including all amendments to date.
• To attract attention and strengthen the image and role of the "5th Pancyprian Potato Festival"
• To be recognizable, fresh, dynamic and susceptible to reduction and enlargement without losing its communication power, to be functional in its use so that it can be reproduced in any application (eg plates, flags, stickers, stamps, cards, letters, mail folders, website, social networks) etc.
• There is no limit to the font size.
• The main colors that will be used should be brown and green, colors that refer to the potato product,
• Indicate the name of the "5th PANCYPRIAN POTATO FESTIVAL" and in English "5th PANCYPRIAN POTATO FESTIVAL"
• To be delivered digitally, in vector (illustrator / photoshop), raster (png), joint photo graphic experts group (jpeg) and pdf format, black and white and color.

4. PROPOSAL PROCEDURE

The message must include the following information:

• Brief presentation of the Logo that clearly analyzes the general idea and the symbolism contained.
• Color and black and white printing of the Logo.
• CD / DVD or USB in all digital formats as described above or ship via WeTransfer.
• The full acceptance of the terms of this Competition by the participant and a statement that "the submitted design is original and no copyright of third parties is infringed".
Each candidate will have the opportunity to submit up to five (5) proposals.
Proposals must be submitted by Tuesday 11 June 2017 at the latest.
Proposals submitted in a different way or overdue will not be considered.

5. PROPOSAL EVALUATION PROCEDURE
The proposals that will be submitted on time and in accordance with the terms of the Competition, will be evaluated by a Jury.
The following procedure will be followed for the selection:
In case many proposals are submitted, the selection of the 10 most suitable will be made. Then, each member of the Jury will select the two best proposals and will rank them in order based on the following criteria:
• Originality (20%),
• Time duration (20%),
• Simplicity and legibility of the logo (20%),
• The relevance of the creative message with the central message (20%),
• Ability to play the logo on all media (print, Internet, etc.) (20%).
The ranking of the proposals will be done in the order of the total score they will collect.

6. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Organizing Committee of the Pancyprian Potato Festival:
• will not be required to adopt any Award-winning Logos, and may not adopt any Logos.
• It will have the absolute ownership of all the Logos that will be awarded and will be able to use them in any way it wishes.
• In case it is decided to adopt the relevant Logo, then the Organizing Committee of the Pancyprian Potato Festival can ask the winner to make small modifications to his proposal (in letters or colors or add an element, etc.) . It goes without saying that these changes will be small so as not to differentiate the idea of ​​the proposal.

7. PRIZE
The two best proposals that will get the highest score will be given the following prizes:
• First Prize: € 200.00
• Second Prize: € 100.00
• Praise if deemed necessary.
The awards will be presented in a way chosen by the Organizing Committee of the Pancyprian Potato Festival. The results of the Competition will be announced through a Press Release within 30 days from the deadline for submission of proposals.

The Pancyprian Potato Festival

The 1st Potato Festival was organized in 2013 by the Sports & Cultural Club of THOI Avgorou at the Ethnographic Museum of the Community.
