Panagiota Pentavka, 77 years old from Sotira is the victim of the new fatal accident that occurred today at dawn at the entrance of the Municipality of Sotira.
According to the Police, around 05.30 in the early morning, under conditions under investigation, two cars collided head-on on the road from Deryneia to Sotira, despite the entrance of Sotira.
As a result of the violent collision, the two female drivers, who were not wearing seat belts, were trapped in their vehicles.

The Fire Service was called on the spot and a rescue team and a rescue vehicle from the Famagusta Fire Station "Sergeant Adamou Adamou" responded.
A written announcement of the Fire Service states that with the use of hydraulic rescue tools, the two drivers were released from their cars and after they were provided with First Aid in cooperation with the Ambulance Service, they were transported by two ambulances to T.A.E.P. of Famagusta General Hospital.
The doctors on duty confirmed the death of Panagiota Pentavka while the second driver Maria Theofanous, 71 years old from Deryneia, is multi-injured and her health condition is considered serious but out of danger.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Traffic Police.
The funeral of 77-year-old Panagiota Pentavka will be held on Saturday, August 26, at 16:30 at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Sotira. The exact causes of her death will be ascertained by the legal necropsy on her body that will be performed by the medical examiner Eleni Antoniou.
