The medical examiner Sophocles Sophocles performed this morning at the General Hospital of Nicosia the legal autopsy on the bodies of the two Britons and as he stated in KYPE, the cause of death of the couple has not been determined.

Toxicological samples have been taken from the bodies and will be sent for scientific examinations, which are expected to prove the cause of death of the two Britons.

It is recalled that the two Britons, aged 59 and 56, were found dead by the Police yesterday on the sofa of their house. Yesterday morning, acquaintances of the couple searched for them and when they did not give signs of life, they notified the Police, members of which went to their house and entered it, breaking the door.

According to the Police, when the members of the Force entered the house, a strong smell of LPG appeared. Police investigations revealed that the British had used a gas heater on Monday night to warm up, which seems to have been a problem and there was a gas leak.

Police ruled out criminal activity while the heater was picked up by experts from the Electromechanical Service in order to identify any problem.
